Libacions

Synopsis

In ancient Greece, a libation was a daily gesture: pouring a glass of water or of seeing land in memory of those who no longer exist. It is ugly with some abnormal plans.

Between 2022 and 2024, Anna Dot will design ceramic patters and fill them with water that disappears. Three vegades—to Paris, to Navarra and to the Empordà—he will walk until the water has fully traveled.

Director’s note

The fathers of the second libation are going to present the relleu of the llit of the Ter in a few days of drying. We are going to fill both waters from the Ultzama to the next country in Batán de Villava and we are going to transport them to the Ultzama and disappear into the Arga. L’aigua es vessava mentre caminàvem. The libations are made in honor of the Ter, each cup more disappears.

The first trip was to Paris in October 2022, with both La Bièvre waters collected in an Antony park, just after the river became underground, and a walk along the roads built to the end of the Seine. The third, in the Empordà in August 2024, will follow an ancient branch of the Ter Fins to the mouth of Sant Martí d’Empúries.

I’m going to carry the camera and I’m going to follow the sincere path, since it is going to fulfill the goals that it is going to see the last water.
