Ori X24 Joana

Synopsis

Ori X24 Joana is a sculpture: a golden meteorite from space. Pol Aregall made it in the workshop, melting and welding metal, during the months when Anna Dot was pregnant with Joana.

The video is the record. The piece is filmed using the formats with which celestial objects have been captured throughout the modern era: film, analogue video, high definition digital. The same body, seen through the eyes of each era.

It’s dumb Something that comes from outside, crosses the atmosphere and falls into the middle of a life to redefine it entirely.
